The arrival of the machine itself and the chance to 'take the controls' was the high point for many of the young ones taking part.
The advance party of the Makos, pens and certificates in hand, and of course the photographer had to keep the pace on to ensure thay were ahead of a bunch of keen youngsters who raced to the summit.

At the top the Makos' lads were in demand as they signed and handed out the '20 Summits' certificates, proof that the many participants had reached their first summit.
After soaking up a few more mid-afternoon rays it was back down to the Botanics where the multi-talented helicopter crew had turned their hand to the BBQ.
The challenge continues next week with a gruelling double-header; The Grampians on Saturday, then for the more ambitious Mt. Arthur the following day.
